OMRON NX1W-CIF12 RS-422A/485 Serial Communication Option Board

The OMRON NX1W-CIF12 is an isolated serial communication option board designed for direct integration into OMRON NX1P2 and NX-series programmable logic controller CPU units. Operating as a compact add-on interface, this option board expands the host controller connectivity by adding one isolated RS-422A or RS-485 serial communication port without consuming extra DIN rail space. Engineered for industrial automation environments, the NX1W-CIF12 facilitates seamless data exchange between the PLC and external serial equipment, such as human-machine interfaces, variable frequency drives, digital panel meters, temperature controllers, barcode scanners, and instrumentation devices. The built-in signal isolation protects the CPU circuitry from electrical noise, transient surges, and ground loops commonly encountered in factory installations. Supporting Modbus-RTU master and slave modes as well as general serial communications, the board enables flexible integration with legacy automation systems and modern field equipment.
