OMRON E3ZD62 Diffuse Photoelectric Sensor for E3Z Series

The OMRON E3ZD62 (E3ZD62) is a compact diffuse-reflective photoelectric sensor developed for reliable presence and position detection in automated machinery environments. As part of the OMRON E3Z sensor family, this device is engineered to detect objects directly through diffuse light reflection across an operating range of up to one meter. The sensor provides an NPN output configuration, making it compatible with standard industrial control architectures, PLCs, and input modules that require NPN switching. Featuring an integrated pre-wired cable connection, the E3ZD62 offers straightforward electrical connectivity and direct integration into production machinery, automated conveyors, packaging machinery, material handling equipment, and assembly stations. By monitoring reflected light from targets passing within its sensing zone, the sensor facilitates accurate part verification, sorting, count tracking, and transfer detection without requiring a separate reflector or receiver unit. Its compact form factor enables installation in tight equipment locations where reliable optical sensing is needed. The OMRON E3ZD62 serves as a durable sensing solution across manufacturing plants, sorting systems, and automated processing lines.
